[She does not mind that he's not hugging back - it's what she expected. She's putting him on the spot enough, poor thing, he's more rigid than an obelisk. It's victory enough that he's not shoving her off.

[Look, this just doesn't happen often, and he's never been the touchy-feely type even with his closest friends. Even his classmates can only get away with so much and he still puts up a stink about it sometimes. The more affectionate stuff is just way beyond his limits or howmst the fuck the deal with. He's not built for that.

And by god does he want to fling himself off the balcony right then and there once she releases. He feels way too awkward, way too itchy, and way to damn flustered right now. He may as well be vibrating in his own skin because it's gone from nice to GET ME OUT OF HERE in record time. Not that he shows any of it other than being tense and a bit pinker around his ears, and his tapping the toe of his boot on the ground, or fidgeting too much, but...yeah. Yeah, he's out of here.
