[Well that is distracting, and he's trying not to let it distract him too hard but he definitely mistimes a step and has to pause slightly to get back on the beat.

Fortunately, he remembered not to try and rush it this time. He'd learned that the hard way before.

And, once he was feeling... a little more comfortable, he finally stepped back and raised his arms to signal an underarm turn, hoping he wasn't about to just embarrass both of them.]

[Oh, she felt that - and despite herself, she's always amused when he clearly falters because of something she did. But he's keeping composed really well, so she won't call any more attention to it.

Instead she flashes him a smile just before she turns under his direction; she's done it enough times with other partners that it's almost second nature. She didn't even have to think about which foot starts first, she just did it. She just hopes she looks as good as she feels, so her partner can be assured that he's doing everything right.]

[He feels himself relaxing as she makes the turn, and he can't help but stare into her eyes a little bit as they step back together afterward. It takes him a moment to remember to keep the frame, because his immediate impulse was just to hold her as they moved- which would have been a little awkward.

Fortunately, the momentary distraction didn't derail the dance, and they were able to finish the waltz as the song came to an end.]

[It's right when their eyes meet that Jasmine slows down - largely because that's how it feels gazing at him whenever they share something like this. Thankfully, his frame sort of pulls her back into the pace anyway, but it does take some effort to return her head to its proper side direction.

By the time the song is over, she is beaming at Aladdin, so relaxed that she winds up pulling him into an embrace herself.]

It was. Let's do this "waltz" thing more often.
