[Anna stops breathing for a few seconds, raising her left hand to her chest. Her own engagement ring is likely quite visible from this angle. If Kristoff lived through their wedding and she'd have no memory of it herself... She wouldn't be able to stand it. Her memories have been messed with quite enough already.]

Oh... That's... really confusing. And kind of sad. You're supposed to live through your wedding together, that's the point. Even if you were technically there, it... It isn't the you who's here right now, is it? But he's the him who's here right now. Married.

Oh... no, it was just the wedding plans. He arrived the morning it was supposed to happen. So, he just knows better what it was going to look like. [~~And is probably less patient about having to wait.~~] I agree, I have no idea how I would have felt if he...

[That's when she notices Anna's reaction, and the prominent ring on her finger.]

Anna, is something wrong?

[Experiencing just the planning of the wedding without the other (sort of) is slightly better, but... It still doesn't feel right to her. She bites down on her bottom lip for a second, averting her gaze.]

I'm alright. I was just... thinking about my own fiance, that's all. If he were here and he were older, and more experienced, I'd... [She trails off, unsure how to put it into words.] Well. You understand.

[Her eyes widen, and with a gentle smile, she gives Anna a firm nod.] I do. I asked him what I was like before he arrived, and what he said sounds like me, but it feels... not quite me, because I'm not there yet, in my life. Even if he insists I'll be less nervous than him.

[She can't help but beam, thinking of Aladdin, before that impatience prompts another sigh. She returns her gaze to the fellow princess.]

What's your fiancé like? Have you been engaged for long?

[Jasmine managed to word the feeling perfectly, there. Someone that would sound like her when described (probably), but wouldn't actually be her, because she hasn't lived to be that person. But if Kristoff knew and loved that person... Maybe she'd fall short. She'd compete with herself, and that's just weird.

She's thankful for the change of topic. Her fingers, still pressed against her chest, tense into the fabric of her dress as a smile spreads across her face.]

Oh- no, not for that long. But he's wonderful! His name is Kristoff, we met three years ago when my sister- [She breaks off for a second, because how does she say this without raising more questions?] ah... She ran away from home, into a fierce blizzard. I went after her to find her, and Kristoff... He helped me every step of the way. I don't think I could've found Elsa without him. And sure, he was kind of gruff and patronizing, but that's only because he worries so much about others. He's got such a big heart!

[She gives Anna a warm smile. She never tires of love stories, especially from fellow princesses. It assures her just how right she was to wait out for Aladdin, to prove to her father that marriages must be formed with love.]

He put you and your sister before himself - of course he has a big heart. And what boyfriend isn't a little rough around the edges?

[The smirk she gives at the last question is so teasing it ought to be criminal.]

[She sees that smirk! Not that she takes offense; if anything, it validates her own feelings. She'd make that exact same face when teasing about something like this- and she does.]

Exactly! Having someone who's all proper is no fun. A little bit of roughness is what makes a boyfriend spontaneous and unique, and unafraid to get his hands dirty when he needs to.

Getting his hands dirty is the fun part!

[She's really giggling now - probably because she noticed how suggestive that sounds. That's okay, she'll make it Disney-friendly again in a second.]

No suitor would have dared splash me at the fountain, but Aladdin does it all the time. And I had to scold him for trying to juggle at a royal dinner. [She feigns a whisper.] But it was pretty funny.

[Oh my, Jasmine!]

He can juggle? Wow, he's really got it all, huh? Unless the keyword was trying to juggle, and he failed miserably in front of everyone. That'd mean he's just got a lot of confidence.

[Another lighthearted giggle.]

It wasn't perfect, but he did call it a juggling trick.

You should have seen him when a prestigious merchant visited. He tried to entertain by reenacting one of our adventures and wound up setting the table on fire.

[She sighs out the rest of her laughter.] I think he overcompensates his confidence, but he tries very hard to impress.

[Anna takes a moment to picture it, and it's very sweet.]

That's great. Kristoff tries very hard to blend into the castle life and follow etiquette, but it's easy to tell he's uncomfortable. He'd much rather just be himself, and I keep telling him he can be, but... Well. He just needs to find a good middle ground, I think.

[She nods, sending a silent bout of sympathy Kristoff's way.]

Give him time; he just needs to find his own way of handling things. When my father taught Aladdin how to be a diplomat, he was very nervous and made many mistakes. But he learned to trust instinct and take advantage of his own strengths, and after two years, I think he finally feels comfortable enough.

Speaking of comfort, let's go to my place. It's a little crowded, but I don't think you'll mind the company.

[Anna nods her head at the way Jasmine describes her own fiance's progress. She hopes it'll be the same for Kristoff soon... But the offer to head to Jasmine's house wipes all thoughts of Kristoff from her mind for now. She has to focus on the situation she's in right now, not what's going on back home.]

Oh! You're right, I'd love some company, if you really don't mind! Lead the way.
